At the Broccoli Books panel at Yaoi Con, K@gemusha S@ki (should have) announced that Broccoli Books will do some boys love titles.

So all of us at Broccoli Books have been thinking of an imprint for the boys love line.

We don’t plan on having a whole new name (like Banana Books. Hee!), although it’s an option.

We have a few ideas, but we’re open to suggestions.

So. If you have suggestions for the Broccoli Books boys love selection, please email editor@broccolibooks.com or post in the message boards.

What do you get?
How about a two-year supply of Broccoli Books boys love selection? (I would like to say life time, but that’s a long time)

Suggestions can be in the form of “Broccoli Books XXX” or “XXX Books” or “XXX Comics” or “Comics XXX” whatever.

umm, umm, I had ideas but looking back they are kinda wrong on many levels…

    BroBro Comics (hmm incest reference)
KuriKuri Books (this is a hybrid of espanol and nihongo… okay you got it… sorry)
    InuMimi Comics (too cute)
finally… C+D Books (you know what I am talking about)

  2. MangaBlog » Blog Archive » PW does Yaoi-Con, and more says:

[…] The big Broccoli news at Yaoi-Con was… that Broccoli showed up, because they’re planning on introducing some yaoi titles. They’re going to have a separate yaoi imprint, and they’re looking for suggestions for the name. Winner gets two years’ worth of hot, sweet boys’ love (manga, that is). […]

  3. Kaylyn says:

    Comics Green
    Broccoli Raw
    Vitamin B Books
(and yes, Broccoli is a source of B6, otherwise that’d be silly)

    …and I’m spent

  4. Haruka21 says:

I didn’t notice this link before I posted my suggestion in the form. I suggested Raw Broccoli or Broccoli in the Raw at the Yaoi-con panel. Which I guess is a popular idea since two people came to a similar conclusion.

  5. Shizuki says:

    Kaylyn & Haruka21 >
    Raw.
    Tee hee.

I heard someone mentioned Fresh Broccoli.
    And I misheard Flesh.
    Ecchi!

  6. Sora says:

    …Steamed Broccoli!

    *fails*

  7. Sora says:

    or, perhaps, Big Bro :D
    (I’ll stop now)

  8. Shizuki says:

    Sora >
Broccoli Books Steamy wouldn’t be bad.

As for Big Bro… oh, it works in so many levels.
    How about Broccoli Books Aniki?
Gosh, none of the Japanese licensors would give us any titles w/ that imprint name!

  9. ed says:

Big Bro could mean problems with Shogakukan.

    I like Steamy

  10. JB says:

How about B-Luv Books where B-Luv is short for Broccoli-Luv (and also short for Boy-Luv in the yaoi community)?

  11. JB says:

Or B-Love Books if you don’t want to slang the word Love.

I’ve spent some time thinking about it, but I can’t come up with a single good name idea. All I’ve come up with is really bad puns, most of which probably aren’t appropriate for this forum. The above suggestion of B-Luv is the best thing I’ve heard so far.

  14. Haruka21 says:

I just thought of some new ones spears or pink Broccoli.

  15. Satsuki says:

    BYB?
    brocoli yaoi book?
    Brocoli Bishie Boys?

  16. ardith says:

    BL Sweets
Sweet B (Play on Sweet Pea) Books
    Sweet Press
    Broccoluv Books
    Love B Press
    Y-Love

  17. Michael Jackson says:

Banana Books is a brilliant name. If you want to give the imprint a new name, Banana Books is your ONLY option. Seriously.

  18. Haruka21 says:

What about no Nasu (nasu is japanese for eggplant) as a pun off of yama-nashi.

  19. Haruka21 says:

as soon as i sent it i saw that i was wrong. the nashi is the no, sorry. how about just nasu.
