So I was off work and surfing and found this place and thought I would join up. I don’t have much more to say right now except I need to start reading some of the older posts to get up to speed before I can start posting.

I’ve heard that in in bad economy it is best to avoid recruiters when looking for a job. I know Hound.com is really popular for looking at jobs only on employer websites and I like it but wish there was not a monthly fee. Is there anything like this that can be used for finding jobs in Dubai? I am looking for a site that shows only employer jobs–I’ve gotten a lot of interviews using Hound.com in the US but really would like to work in Dubai. The market is really slowing down in Dubai and I am not getting much response from recruiters. I know there are good recruiters out there (i’ve always gotten jobs through recruiters) but they typically charge a fee to employers and recruiters are typically one of the first things employers stop using to save money in a recession. Even a list of the 100 largest employers in Dubai would be helpful so I can go to their career sites and see if there are openings.
