This was posted in the comments of a previous post, but I thought other people might have the same question in mind… so I thought I’d respond in the main blog section.

Since Murder Princess was serialized in a quarterly magazine (now defunct Dengeki Teioh), we knew that the Japanese tankobon will only be published every 15 months. So we asked Media Works how long Murder Princess will run, and they told us that there will only be 2 volumes.
Although a short series is very unfortunate (since it’s a really interesting story), it did make it easier for us to schedule the release dates. If the series did last another volume, we would have had to space out the volumes… or delay the release of vol 1.
Murder Princess vol 1 will be released in April… and Murder Princess vol 2 will be released in September.
