Not the final post yet.
Yay?

I’m finally sending out promo goods to anime clubs.
I’m going w/ local ones for now (as in State of California), because the shipping rates are lower. I do need to keep our costs low… of course if you are willing to pay for shipping, I will put you on the top of the list ^__^

Anyway, for the clubs:
Notre Dame High School anime/manga club in Sherman Oaks
(Tatiana contacted us)

San Marino High School anime/manga club
(Monica contacted us)

Stanford Newtype anime club
(Zhengyun contacted us)

UC Merced SOA Brigade anime club
(Andrew contacted us)

I’m including the person who contacted us, so if you are an anime club member for the school, make sure you hound that person to provide the goodies to all members. I packed up the boxes a while back so I don’t remember what’s inside, but it should be things like clear file folders, notebooks, wristbands, etc.

I have a lot of fleece scarves that could use a good home.
If you live in a COLD area & are an OFFICER of an anime club, please contact me at pr(at)bro-usa.com. Subject line should be “Broccoli Books Promo Goods - COLD!”

Let me know how many members are in your anime club too.
It’s helpful to know how many to send over.

And some more prizes sent to Broccoli Books fan club members.

Sorry, I forgot to take photos this time b/c I was in a rush to get them all out.

* * * *
Ted from IL won an autographed shikishi board from Asami Sanada (voice of Dejiko).

* * *
Jessica from IN won a KAMUI vinyl banner featuring Sumire.

* * *
Several of the winners emailed photos of their prizes & goodies to us.
I’m glad you guys are enjoying them ^__^

Unfortunately, we had to clear out of our office by December 31, so we had to toss everything else out. I do have a few more boxes that are going out to winners & libraries, but that’s all I can do. I only got to #40 on the comments, and I’m sorry we didn’t have the time to get back to the rest of you.

Thank you for all the comments.
I’ll write one final blog entry for the last bit of shipments & that will be the last post here.

For those who are interested, I started a new blog over at AnimeVice.com. I’ll continue writing there as long as I’m freelancing.

And to a YWCA:
YWCA Greater Miami Branch (Miami, FL)

Please visit these libraries & YWCA to get some promotional items. They will most likely be used during their anime screenings & summer reading program.

Enjoy!

Hiya, blogger Shiz here.

Working late at night to send out as many prizes & goodies to Broccoli Books fan club members.

Here are a few more folks who won special stuff.

* * *
Procyon of OR won a Ryoko Shintani (voice of Milfeulle from Galaxy Angel anime) autograph board.

It’s made out to Anime Gamers store, but it’s still rare nevertheless.

* * *
AJ from CA won some Galaxy Angel pencil boards featuring Ranpha & Mint.

These pencil boards were promo items at the Gamers store in Japan, I think.

* * *
Julie of NC won a copy of Leave it to Piyoko vol 1 autographed by Hina, as well as a Black Gema-Gema Gang official seal stamp.

The BGG Gang official seal stamp is something Broccoli Japan made for an event promotion & had sent to us along w/ BGG Gang membership cards. We already tossed out the BGG Gang membership cards, but I should have kept it to send to Julie, so she can make everyone in her area a BGG member.

* * *
And I forgot to mention someone earlier today.
Kotoba_no_Kishi of England won a copy of Galaxy Angel vol 1 autographed by Kanan.

I forgot to take a photo of his package. Whoops.

I’m currently reading through comment #30 - #40, so you should be getting an email from me soon.

Hello, blogger Shiz here.

I also sent out a few more packages to libraries.

Alexandrian Public Library (Mt Vernon, IL)
Los Angeles Library, Memorial Branch (Los Angeles, CA)
Marlborough Public Library (Marlborough, MA)
San Bernardino Public Library (San Bernardino, CA)
Thelma Parker Memorial Library (Kamuela, HI)
Whitmore Public Library (Salt Lake City, UT)

If you live around these libraries, please drop by their anime club showings & things.

* * *
I also made 6 packages for anime clubs.
I’d like to send 3 of them to anime clubs w/ more than 300 members. If you are a club officer for an anime club w/ 300+ members, please contact me at pr(at)bro-usa.com. The only reason why I want to send them to 300+ member clubs is because the package has more than 50 of one item (clear file folders and pencil boards), and it won’t benefit clubs that only have 20 or so members.

The other 3 packages are ideal for clubs w/ 100+ members.

I’ll make more packages to smaller clubs tomorrow… if I get through the Broccoli Books fan club member shipments first.

Hi blogger Shiz here.

Thanks to the Broccoli Books fan club members who left comments about why you like Broccoli Books or specific titles.

I’m trying to respond to each of you, so if you haven’t heard back from me, please be patient.

Anyhoo, here’s the first round of winners of various things I found around the office. What? I’m just cleaning out the office? Uh, yeah… but it makes the fans happy too, right? Right?

* * *
Stacey of NH won an E’S vinyl banner.
It’s a one of a kind banner we made for convention display.

She’s a big E’S fan who made a pumpkin carving and even had a birthday cake with an E’S image. I thought she was the most deserving of the E’S banner. BTW, happy birthday!

* * *
Mimi of CA won a KAMUI vinyl banner of Shui.
Like the E’S banner, it’s a one of a kind item… although we did make one of Atsuma, Shiki and Sumire.

She said she liked Shui next to Atsuma, so hopefully she’ll give him a nice home.

* * *
Jordan of WA won a Di Gi Charat poster autographed by Koge-Donbo.

The poster is from the Di Gi Charat movie. I forgot when Koge-Donbo signed this for us, but she drew a sketch of Dejiko (in silver).

* * *
Anime Kitty Cafe of CA won a copy of Leave it to Piyoko vol 1 autographed by Hina.

She also wanted the Japanese copy of vol 2, so we included it in the package.

* * *
Jim of PA won a copy of Yoki Koto Kiku autographed by Koge-Donbo.

He’s been collecting the Chocola artbooks, so I thought this would be a good addition to his collection.

More winners coming soon!

Hi blogger Shiz here.
Working away on a Saturday afternoon b/c there’s a lot of packages to ship out. And we need to clear out the warehouse to sell off all of our shelving units & equipment.

Anyhoo… We had a bunch of leftover merchandise, so we sent a big package to the following libraries.

Alameda Free Public Library (Alameda, CA)
Cumberland County Public Library (Fayetteville, NC)
McCully-Moiliili Public Library (Honolulu, HI)

I still have 40 more packages to send out to libraries… how am I going to take them all to the post office? Yikes!

PS. The three libraries up above got:
* Trading card deck cases (Beyblade, Di Gi Charat, Galaxy Angel)
* Galaxy Angel DVD vol 1 w/ 5 figures
* Di Gi Charat fleece scarf & bag set

Alameda Public Library will be using the items during the 2009 Free Comic Book Day, so go out there & get a free comic book and some goodies!

Cumberland County Public Library has an annual cosplay party. That’s so awesome! If you live in the area, head over there & join their anime/manga club.

And McCully-Moiliili Public Library holds a special place in all of our hearts & tummy, because the librarian there always sends us Macadamia nut chocolates to us. Love! (are we too simple minded? yes!)

Hi bloger Shiz here.

I think I’m just about done w/ the dust jacket committee (& stickers too).

If you haven’t received your dust jackets and/or stickers, please send an email to pr(at)bro-usa.com w/ the subject line “Dust Jacket Committee Inquiry.” Don’t forget to include your mailing address, so we can send you the stuff if we don’t see you on the list.

Now time to do the last last batch of the FLCL Ultimate Edition t-shirts…
