Not the final post yet.
Yay?
I’m finally sending out promo goods to anime clubs.
I’m going w/ local ones for now (as in State of California), because the shipping rates are lower. I do need to keep our costs low… of course if you are willing to pay for shipping, I will put you on the top of the list ^__^
Anyway, for the clubs:
Notre Dame High School anime/manga club in Sherman Oaks
(Tatiana contacted us)
San Marino High School anime/manga club
(Monica contacted us)
Stanford Newtype anime club
(Zhengyun contacted us)
UC Merced SOA Brigade anime club
(Andrew contacted us)
I’m including the person who contacted us, so if you are an anime club member for the school, make sure you hound that person to provide the goodies to all members. I packed up the boxes a while back so I don’t remember what’s inside, but it should be things like clear file folders, notebooks, wristbands, etc.
I have a lot of fleece scarves that could use a good home.
If you live in a COLD area & are an OFFICER of an anime club, please contact me at pr(at)bro-usa.com. Subject line should be “Broccoli Books Promo Goods - COLD!”
Let me know how many members are in your anime club too.
It’s helpful to know how many to send over.

North Broward Preparatory School (Coconut Creek, FL)

Please visit these libraries & YWCA to get some promotional items. They will most likely be used during their anime screenings & summer reading program.
Enjoy!

Hello, blogger Shiz here.
I also sent out a few more packages to libraries.
Alexandrian Public Library (Mt Vernon, IL)
Los Angeles Library, Memorial Branch (Los Angeles, CA)
Marlborough Public Library (Marlborough, MA)
San Bernardino Public Library (San Bernardino, CA)
Thelma Parker Memorial Library (Kamuela, HI)
Whitmore Public Library (Salt Lake City, UT)
If you live around these libraries, please drop by their anime club showings & things.
* * *
I also made 6 packages for anime clubs.
I’d like to send 3 of them to anime clubs w/ more than 300 members. If you are a club officer for an anime club w/ 300+ members, please contact me at pr(at)bro-usa.com. The only reason why I want to send them to 300+ member clubs is because the package has more than 50 of one item (clear file folders and pencil boards), and it won’t benefit clubs that only have 20 or so members.
The other 3 packages are ideal for clubs w/ 100+ members.
I’ll make more packages to smaller clubs tomorrow… if I get through the Broccoli Books fan club member shipments first.

Hi blogger Shiz here.
Working away on a Saturday afternoon b/c there’s a lot of packages to ship out. And we need to clear out the warehouse to sell off all of our shelving units & equipment.
Anyhoo… We had a bunch of leftover merchandise, so we sent a big package to the following libraries.
Alameda Free Public Library (Alameda, CA)
Cumberland County Public Library (Fayetteville, NC)
McCully-Moiliili Public Library (Honolulu, HI)
I still have 40 more packages to send out to libraries… how am I going to take them all to the post office? Yikes!
PS. The three libraries up above got:
* Trading card deck cases (Beyblade, Di Gi Charat, Galaxy Angel)
* Galaxy Angel DVD vol 1 w/ 5 figures
* Di Gi Charat fleece scarf & bag set
Alameda Public Library will be using the items during the 2009 Free Comic Book Day, so go out there & get a free comic book and some goodies!
Cumberland County Public Library has an annual cosplay party. That’s so awesome! If you live in the area, head over there & join their anime/manga club.
And McCully-Moiliili Public Library holds a special place in all of our hearts & tummy, because the librarian there always sends us Macadamia nut chocolates to us. Love! (are we too simple minded? yes!)

Hi bloger Shiz here.
I think I’m just about done w/ the dust jacket committee (& stickers too).
If you haven’t received your dust jackets and/or stickers, please send an email to pr(at)bro-usa.com w/ the subject line “Dust Jacket Committee Inquiry.” Don’t forget to include your mailing address, so we can send you the stuff if we don’t see you on the list.
Now time to do the last last batch of the FLCL Ultimate Edition t-shirts…

Hi blogger Shiz here.
I finally got around and started working on the HUGE backlog of the dust jacket committee work.
Several notices for those who bought Murder Princess vol 2, Koi Cupid vol 1, sola vol 1 and Nui vol 1.
We never got around to printing the stickers for these books, so we will be sending you alternate items. Koi Cupid & Nui readers will receive Pita-Ten and Di Gi Charat stickers. Murder Princess and sola readers will receive a Galaxy Angel mousepad.
We apologize for the inconvenience & disappointment in not getting you the proper stickers. It’s impossible at this point to get the OK from the licensors to print the stickers for these books.
The dust jackets & stickers will be mailing out tomorrow and the rest of the week!

Hi blogger Shiz here.
Thank you for all of those who came to the warehouse sale. I know the wait was really really long, but I hope you were able to grab a lot of goodies.
It was nice to see a lot of old faces… although we’ll have another free-for-all day for former staff & freelancers next week. I’ll send you guys information about it next week.
I’m tired, so that’s all for tonight.

Hello.
I deleted two comments that were left in the Broccoli Books production blog today because frankly, our staff doesn’t need any of this.
Though the nasty remarks were directed towards the company (or so I would like to believe), each one of our staff.. from the in-house editors & graphics artists; to freelance translators, re-writers, layout artists, coordinators; and marketing and sales staff.. have put a lot of individual and personal efforts into releasing each of the titles and volumes.
None of us, including the management, is deliberately sabotaging the release of any specific titles. We are not going “Ha! We’ll trick those idiots and release a few volumes, then make them suffer not knowing what happens to the rest of the story by stopping production on them! Muhahaha!”
We are all sad that certain titles weren’t finished by Broccoli Books. And we hope that the market & the US publishing industry are healthy enough to re-release the titles in North America in the near future.
We don’t have a say in who licenses the titles once the license is reverted back to the licensors. If you have specific titles you want to see re-released in the US, start a petition or a fan club or anything and let the licensors and US publishers know that there’s a viable market for the specific title in the US. A good milestone is gather 5,000 people who’ll pledge to BUY the book when released.
So once again, I ask that you play nice.

Hello, blogger Shiz here.
Freelancer Dee came by and helped me pack up more boxes for libraries.
A lot of it is similar to the previous boxes, with plenty of stickers, Juvenile Orion keychains and whatnot.
So if any of these libraries are local to you, please head on over & pick up the goodies.
Aiea Public Library (Aiea, HI)
Azusa City Library (Azusa, CA)
Bronx Community College Library (Bronx, NY)
Long Beach Public Library (Long Beach, NY)
Wahiawa Public Library (Wahiwa, HI)
Watsonville Public Library (Watsonville, CA)
Webster Public Library (Webster, NY)
& a private school in San Francisco called ES Academy.
We’ve been getting a lot of requests from Hawaii libraries… so lucky for those of you living over in the islands.
Remember, tell your local libraries to email pr(at)bro-usa.com with the subject line “Broccoli Books Promo Goods.” It helps to know what titles are popular at your library, so I can assemble packages accordingly.
