This is the 2nd blog entry today.

Today, we got the World of Disgaea 2 Art Book into our office!
Since it is hard cover and full color, it is very fun to look at.

In the past few weeks, we received a lot of shipments.
We got Koi Cupid Volume 1, World of Disgaea 2 Art Book…
And our next shpment will be sola Volume 1 and COSMODE USA!

I forgot to mention it earlier, but Disgaea 2 vol 3 is currently being translated. We had forgotten to assign it earlier, so we’re playing catch up.

We did work on a mock-up cover of this volume (before the Japanese book was published), but I might have forgotten to go through the approval process of the cover too. *sigh*

Estimated release date? Maybe August 2008, although my schedule says December 2008. But that schedule must have been set when Disgaea 2 vol 3 wasn’t released in Japan yet.

Designer Chris wrapped up the final round of fixes from freelance editor Dee, NIS America and me & submitted the batch of fixed pages to our printer in Hong Kong.

Now the books will go to print. It looks like we’ll be able to get these in time for Anime Expo, but they won’t make it for Fanime.

Today, we have received the color proofs of World of Disgaea2!
I took a few pictures of the proofs.
These are the images of the color proofs that we got.

Today, I will write the updates for World of Disgaea 2 Art Book.

We asked our printer to print the books this week.
Right now, we are waiting for the color proofs.
This is where we can check everything and confirm that it looks OK.
If everything looks OK, we can print everything.

The book will be available at end of May 2008.

We are almost finished with World of Disgaea 2!

Last time we talked about World of Disgaea 2, we were having trouble getting the special attack names, but we got all of them finally.
NISA production coordinator Hiroko-san helped us out a lot so we were able to find all of the descriptions and special attack names.
Also, our designer Chris made the products page too.

Our next step is to have NISA check the book, give the data of the whole book for our printer, and then we can go to print!
So there are couple more steps to go!

This is Blogger Shiz.
I realized our set up doesn’t show the blogger’s name, so I thought it’d be best to write who’s writing. Although all of our writing styles are different.

Freelancer Dee gave us the last half of the World of Disgaea 2 edits after the company New Year’s Dinner on Wed. I took the day off yesterday, so production staffer Yukiko was finally able to look at it today,though.

We’re still struggling to get all of the special attack names from the game.
I think freelancer Dee said he can’t find two of them.
Time to bug NISA production coordinator Hiroko again.

Are we 2 months behind on this book? Eeep.
It’s OK. The 3rd volume of the Disgaea 2 manga isn’t out in Japan yet… (how does that matter? It doesn’t. But let it go, kids)

We received the first draft of the layout of World of Disgaea 2 from layout staffer Brian.

There are lots of text that still need to be translated & looked up, so production staffer Yukiko and freelance editor Dee are flipping through the book… and re-playing the game.
