We’re getting ready to send in E’S vol 4 to the printers this week.

More new characters appear in this volume.
Maxim, Sherry, and Kyo…

The cover features Eiji.
Who looks a bit creepy in the character profile image pasted on the top of this blog entry, but less so when it’s a full-body version on the cover. It’s probably those sunglasses.

Editor Samantha said a lot of girls like Shiki from KAMUI, despite him being the creepy stalker dude.
So maybe they’ll like Eiji, compared to sulky Kai. Although I do like Eiji’s character a lot more than Shiki.

E’S vol 4 goes on sale in October.

Hello, Editor Samantha here. I’ll be making posts to let you know the status of the books we’re working on. Boss Shizuki is really busy! ;__;

On Monday I finished going through E’S vol 4, making sure everything was OK with the layout and the text. The story’s getting really good! But despite the seriousness of the manga itself, I found the bonus manga at the end to be especially hilarious. The line that stuck in my mind was “They can bend two spoons at once!” (Let the psychic stereotyping ensue…lol). I also went and updated the bonus pages, including the character profiles, since there is a pretty snazzy new character who joins the cast…I think he’s my favorite so far.

Not much else to report at the moment…we’re all really busy preparing for the convention! See you at Anime Expo!

We received the 1st draft of the E’S vol 4 layout work from freelancer Knuckles.

E’S vol 4 already had lots of pages, so we couldn’t add a lot of bonus pages to the back of the book.

In other E’S news, E’S vol 3 is shipping out later this week from our printers. So we’ll have them at the Broccoli booth at Anime Expo.

E’S vol 3 goes on sale July 11, 2007.

We’re wrapping up the production work for E’S vol 3.

E’S vol 3 is a relatively “short” volume… but it’s because two chapters are devoted to what Satol Yuiga refers to as PE’S — Preview E’S.

PE’S was a two-part short story that created the world of E’S.
So there’s Kai, Asuka, Eiji and others… but they’re all slightly different.

Freelancer S@ki created a E’S and PE’S comparison section, featuring Shin-lu and Shen-long. It’s in the back of the book as bonus pages, so wait and see~

Looks like we’re right on schedule to get E’S vol 3 available for pre-sale at Anime Expo.
Good good.

We received the re-write script for E’S vol 4 from re-writer Elizabeth today.

There’s LATIN in this volume.
Thank goodness re-writer Elizabeth speaks fluent Latin.
I’m kidding.
But she knows this stuff.
