We received the re-written script for KAMUI vol 9 from re-writer Elizabeth.
Meanwhile, we are busy wrapping up KAMUI vol 8.
We just sent in a batch of final approvals, and we’ll be going to print next week.
And we’re working on a project for Square Enix too… so we’re rushing to get everything done before Anime Expo and San Diego Comic Con rolls around.
Isogashii nyo!

We received the translation of KAMUI vol 9 from translator S@ki today.
This volume features Anzu.
Remember her?
She had a big role is KAMUI vol 2, but she only shows up every so often (as a flashback or…) in later volumes.
Shingo Nanami mentions in her author comments that it’s strange to have Anzu on the cover b/c she doesn’t appear much. Her outfit is very cute on the cover. Actually, all the characters have cute outfits.

Whoops, forgot to mention.
Layout staffer Knuckles turned in the first draft of KAMUI vol 8.
The cover features Aika.
She looks really cute on the cover.
I don’t think I like those puffy sleeves of her NOA uniform.

A lot of projects have been moving along while I was away in Japan, so here’s a big ol’ recap of what’s been brewing at the Broccoli Books offices.
KAMUI vol 7 proofs arrived. Editor Dee had sent me the photos, but I didn’t have time to upload them in Japan. Maybe next week.
KAMUI vol 7 goes on sale on May 16, 2007.
Galaxy Angel II vol 2 has been sent to be printed. Galaxy Angel II vol 2 goes on sale on May 30, 2007.
We got the layout of Kon Kon Kokon vol 1 from layout staffer Knuckles, and editor Dee has gone through a few edits already. Designer Chris also worked on all the extra pages, including the youkai (monster) encyclopedia, so editor Dee gave me a big packet to look over this weekend.
Coyote Ragtime Show vol 1 and Delivery Cupid are currently being laid out.
And we really need to reprint Disgaea soon. I want to add extra pages, but I haven’t informed editor Dee or designer Chris about it yet. It must suck to have a kimagure managing editor.

The longest day of his life.

Any other news?
E’S vol 2 and Murder Princess vol 1 are on their way to bookstores as we speak.

With lots of meetings with publishers.

We received the translation of KAMUI vol 8 from translator S@ki.
So it’s been shipped off to re-writer Elizabeth for script clean up.
But re-writer Elizabeth is currently working on My Dearest Devil Princess vol 1 re-write, so she won’t be able to start on it until next week.
We also received the Coyote Ragtime Show vol 1 script back from re-writer Melissa on Monday.
Kon Kon Kokon vol 1 text insertion is being worked on by layout staffer Knuckles right now.
And translator S@ki is taking over the translation of Disgaea 2 vol 2, since translator Yoshi now works for another anime company. She’s also juggling the translation of Title X.
Oh, and Boysenberry stuff.
Translation for Delivery Cupid is all done & the script is being worked on right now. We also need to finalize the logo design by designer Knuckles, so we can finally show the final cover design.
