Hello all. We’re currently moving all blogs to www.bro-usa.com and updating all of them to Wordpress. But we’re having a little trouble with our archives. Please bear with us as we slowly rebuild all of the old posts. In the meantime you can check them out at the old blog url until we finish. After finishing we’re going to delete all files on the old url.

Today was a pretty busy day, but I got a lot of things done!
Hurray!

I am currently on my second text-insertion edit for Galaxy Angel #3, my first text-insertion edit for Juvenile Orion #3, and second text-insertion edit for Dejiko’s Adventure #1.
So I have a lot of stacks of paper next to my desk.
And I keep kicking it, which causes a lot of problems…

We are getting the retail bags I posted about days ago this week.
Now that Bandai Entertainment announced Di Gi Charat Nyo, I can say that the Bandai logo is on the Di Gi Charat side too.
I creatively hid that part until the announcement was made :D

Hopefully more collaborations will be on the way.
The Bandai producer is the same for both Galaxy Angel and Di Gi Charat Nyo, and makes things easier and a lot of fun!

We are also getting Galaxy Angel #2 this week!
Yeah! Yeah!
They are way ahead of schedule, but that’s not a bad thing, right?

I also organized a Hot Pot Semi-industry Dinner for Sunday.
So far, Shizloo of Synch-Point, ADS of Broccoli International, Cherry Ju of Bandai Entertainment, and Tango of Geneon Entertainment are coming.
Maybe more, maybe less.
I know for sure Cherry is going to be late.

Thanks to my co-worker ADS for the title.

Anyways, today was my day off.
(I’m writing this blog at home).

What a good day to take the day off, because most of the office was busy with the Chocola books that came in last week.
It’s about…3000 books?

Anyways, they are getting ready to ship it so that Waldenbooks can carry them at their stores.

So please look out for them.

What is Chocola?

Chocola is a series of an illustration book featuring Koge-Donbo’s art.
Published annually since 1999, it features the work Koge-Donbo drew that year.
It goes on sale every year in December.

Features Di Gi Charat, Aquarian Age, and other illustrations.
Also includes Gema Gema comics and an interview!

Waldenbooks will be carrying Chocola 2001 and Chocola 2002.
Chocola 2003 is currently available exclusively at AnimeGamers.com!

By the way, “Chocola” is taken from Dejiko’s real name in Planet Di Gi Charat.

Nyo!

I’m taking the next day and a half off, and I won’t be in the office.

…Which is why I’m working today.

Still catching up on a lot of email.
I still have… 56 to go.

But earlier today I went shopping.
My purse broke on Friday.
Unlike my unnamed co-worker, I only have about two purses in my closet, and had to go buy a new one.

I ended up buying a bunch of other stuff too, but one of them includes a briefcase-like bag.
I will be taking this to my trip to Baltimore/Boston in early April.

I can’t wait to see people at Anime Boston!

Speaking of conventions, I went to Wizard World LA and saw Cherry Ju of Bandai Ent and Tango of Geneon Ent.
Cherry caught me in line for the Ghost in the Shell voice actor autographs.
Oops.
Nah, he was cool about it.

It was good to see friends from the industry.
I also saw Steebu from Harmony Gold.

Tango and I talked much because we haven’t seen each other for over 3 months. I think I’ll try to arrange a semi-industry dinner with all of us.
Well, that’s usually Cherry’s job because he’s the one who has BBQ’s at his house.
I think if I planned a semi-industry thing, it’ll be a trip to the karaoke box.

Anyways.
I need to get back to answering the interview questions for ComicWorldNews.com.

Today I took half day off because I had worked for over 3 weeks straight in a row.

Phew.

I was going to take the whole day off but had to come in because there was a TV crew coming in to our Anime Gamers store in Los Angeles.

Sigh.

We had a couple of customer interviews where they point out which anime they know, and which one they like.
And other stuff.

Thanks to the UCLA students who happened to come in and agreed to get interviewed!
One of them remembered me from our UCLA visit a few weeks ago too.

Anyways, so most of my day was spent there.

I am ready to send out Galaxy Angel Party 1 to my rewriter, and will work on the next batch of interview questions hopefully tomorrow.

I am also working on the collaboration project with Bandai Entertainment, which will come out late-April.

OK, I have to go to tennis.

Hopefully I can do more work tomorrow.

Today felt like Wednesday, I think because I worked over 14 hours per day this whole weekend.

I’m tsukare-tired.

And today I spent over 87% out of the office, and did not get to do much.
Sob!
Today, other than the so-called secret project, I worked on my own secret project.
…Now we’re having plural secret projects, and I have to name them.

I think I’ll call Shizloo’s secret project “Honey Mustard” and mine “Lizard Lava.”

Not that that will do anything.

Ok. Now to the main point.

Sorry, there is no main point.

A couple of little points:

I’m still looking for part-timers.
Send us a resume if you’re in the Los Angeles area and interested in working for me!

I have 73 recent unread emails (this does not include the 163 in my other inbox).

Juvenile Orion #2 is arriving this week.

I’m out of the office again tomorrow.

This upcoming weekend will be the 4th workend in a row if we go to Wizard World LA.
My pal Tango from Geneon Ent said he’s going too, so I might be able to see him. (I haven’t seen him for over 3 months).

Zzzz…

I haven’t posted pictures lately, so here’s a picture of “Dress-up Mint” that’s sitting on one of our shelves.

I think a Bandai Ent staff has one too.

I forgot to upload the blog I wrote for tonight…

Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

I hope my computer doesn’t restart or something.
(It’s unsaved).

Please look forward (?) to it tomorrow.

I’m watching Leave it to Piyoko again.
I forgot how funny it was.

Please look forward to it…sometime this year.

Hello,

I won’t be in the office the whole day so a quick update.

Sorry I couldn’t get the site up yet.
I’m still fixing a bit here and there.
Depending on the how long the AFM is, and depending on GAINAX’s plans, I can work on it tonight or tomorrow night.

For the official launch, please keep an eye out for the “update” at www.bro-usa.com!

Okay, so I admit the title just rhymes and makes no sense.

Anyways, Mr. K & Mr. Sh from GAINAX came today.
We’ll be spending the next week with them to translate at AFM.

Wow. Busy busy busy.

Today I spent most of the day editing more Galaxy Angel stuff and fighting a fish bone that is stuck in my throat.

…But I was writing this blog, I got it out! Yes! I was worried that I would have to deal with the fish bone for life.

The dust jacket committee was here today sending out those dust jackets.

And I finally got to go through the FINAL FINAL edit for Juvenile Orion #2.

As I mentioned above, this would be a busy week.
I’ll turn in Juvenile Orion #2 by the end of this week to our printers. Who knows, they might be available a little earlier than the set release date!

I’m also going to Bandai Entertainment tomorrow to meet with Ta-kun to talk about some stuff. (Maybe something to annouce later).

8 more days until Galaxy Angel #1 hit the stores!
