I was going to blog about the FLCL Ultimate Edition DVD menu designs, but I just got a call from Jennifer Sekiguchi (voice of Mamimi), asking if she can blog about working on the English cast & crew commentary track for the FLCL Ultimate Edition.

So, I guess we should make it official.

FLCL Ultimate Edition DVDs will include a commentary track by Kari Whalgren (voice of Haruko), Jennifer Sekiguchi (voice of Mamimi), Marc Handler (ADR director & writer), and me (producer & translator).

Episode 1 is Kari & Jennifer.
Episode 2 is Jennifer, Marc & me.
Episode 6 is Kari, Jennifer & Marc.

Sorry, if we had more time, we would have included a commentary track for all episodes. And with more cast & crew members.

But the English cast & crew commentary track was unplanned.
Except one day, someone left a comment on this production blog saying “a commentary track of the English VAs would be cool.”

And it ate at me for weeks.

It would be cool.
I want to do it.
We could do it.
Why shouldn’t we do it?
Should we do it?

Mind you that this was all after we submitted our authoring work order to Blink Digital.

Poor producer Dee!
