Designer Chris was reading a blog on the Wired when he noticed something very familiar.

It’s the FLCL 2003 t-shirt (very limited run of 500).

The guy playing w/ the Nokia N-Gage is wearing one.
Weird, where these t-shirts pop up.

We initially made the t-shirt to be sold at Fanime Con 2003.
I believe that’s the year director Tsurumaki-san, character designer Sadamoto-san & producer Sato-san attended the convention.

Or maybe it was the year after.

We had planned to sell it at Fanime only… but it was so popular that we ended up doing a second run for Anime Expo. And some leftovers were sold at Otakon… but that was pretty much it.

Anime Gamers had a few t-shirts in their stock, but they only had “small” last year. And they probably don’t have it anymore.

Since the t-shirt was so popular, we decided to make a second edition of the t-shirt for the FLCL Ultimate Edition DVD box set. Instead of the human characters, the FLCL UE t-shirts feature robots.

anyhoo , My point was to make clear that we ” FLCL fans ” have been hearing many news about up-comming flcl products , But then it seems that nothing new is showig up .. ! the plushies ! You know i almost believe ur not covering everything up , Maybe it would be good to call them once in a while ? or maybe check about the products info once in a while ? And many many many * I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH * FLCL fans have been asking u about the t-shirt but as far as i know u never answered ! .. So please tell us what you know and help us to trust you more than ever .

    Greetings from Germany!

At first i want to thank you for the great work on the FLCL Box. It got the best spot in my DVD shelf.

But i was wondering if you can send me the shirt to Germany when i send you the card. I wanted to order some of the other shirts and this great mug aswell. Is it possible to combine this?

  10. drew says:

  11. Jason says:

Oh man, I still have not gotten my shirt yet. I actually forgot about till I saw a Broccoli banner ad, and it got me thinking wheres my shirt?! I really hope the post card didn’t get lost in the mail. :( Is there anyway to find out?

  12. Jason says:

Oh my gosh im so sorry, whenever i went on this site at first, the topic im posting in now was the first listed (was in the flcl archive), and now i see the other topic about them being mailed out, im so terribly sorry.

and if you will excuse me im going to go read into that topic now.

    Once again I apologize

I see that this post is quite old, but still I must ask. I am fortunate enough to have gotten this shirt when it was still available. It’s been my absolute favorite shirt ever since I got it, but I had a little mishap with it and tore the bottom a bit. I searched all over and could not find it anywhere, and then I found this blog post.

My question is, would this shirt be available anywhere at all? Ever? Not a new version with robots, but the original. No matter the price, I simply must have a new (or at least not damaged) one, or ten.
