One of the winners was the one called “Noir” (we called it Scarface during the planning phases). We had selected another design from the entries. It took a long time, but we finally got the design approved & we’re going to print soon. So this is the standard version, in brown: And the black one will be a dot-anime.us exclusive. We’ll have both products available on dot-anime.us soon. Well, it’s not October yet. 1. We’re having serious issues w/ the production@synch-point.com email address. 2. T-shirt shipments So you will get your t-shirts! We’re getting a few production interns next week, so we should be shipping out a bunch of them starting next week. So sorry for the delay. But like I said, we have a few production interns coming in. We received the Naota & Haruko plush samples from Great Eastern the last week or so. Naota came right before Anime Expo, so we ordered a bunch so we can sell them during the convention. Hopefully some of you were lucky enough to pick one up. Haruko came right after Anime Expo, so we’ll be taking them to Otakon. Designer Chris was reading a blog on the Wired when he noticed something very familiar. It’s the FLCL 2003 t-shirt (very limited run of 500). The guy playing w/ the Nokia N-Gage is wearing one. I got an email from the folks at Level 5 Group/Kaching brand. Anyhoo, they sent over the designs for the Canti designer series II. So they have 6 new designers with 6 different designs. They’re gonna be limited edition & kinda pricey at $100, but a definite collector’s item. I sent the designs off to GAINAX to get them approved (FLCL director Tsurumaki-san loves these things), so once they’re approved, we’ll post images here. Eck. Anyhoo, the first winning design is Scarface Haruko. Here is the original entry: And here is the final design: Due to legal issues (or something), the FLCL t-shirt has been named “noir.” Look for it in Hot Topic stores in late January.
