Hi Blogger Shiz once again.

We’ve been getting a lot of inquiries from folks who bought the 4th print of the FLCL Ultimate Edition DVD box set.

The problem seems to be with disc 1, where the DVD freezes after 5 minutes.
And it seems like most of the users who have been having problems are those with PS3s.

We’re currently talking to our replicator to see what the problem is. We’ve already sent some of the “bad” discs to them & they’re doing some tests.

If you recently purchased the FLCL Ultimate Edition DVD box set & are having problems w/ disc 1, please email pr @ bro-usa.com with the subject line “FLCL Ult Ed Disc 1 Issue”.

Please include the following in the body of your email:
* Your full name
* Your mailing address
* What DVD player you are using

I’ll be working on this alongside catching up w/ the t-shirt backlog.

Hello, blogger Shiz here.

I haven’t touched this blog in so long, I had to try 6 different passwords before I was able to login.

I upgraded to Firefox 3 a while back, and I guess it didn’t remember older passwords. It didn’t seem to have problems w/ the newer ones. Hmmm.

Anyway, here’s an update on the FLCL Ultimate Edition t-shirts.

I’ve been letting production assistants handle the mess… er, customer service. So I looked at the humongous database for the first time in 10 months. Maybe a year. Eh, probably longer.

Anyway, I was amazed at the backlog!

It took me about 30 minutes to figure out the organization of the database… someone had sorted it by t-shirt sizes, since it’s easier to print out address labels that way. We pack the t-shirts by sizes, so it’s easier to ship out the same sizes all at the same time.

Then it took me another 30 mins to figure out why people’s addresses were in our shipping program, but there were no tracking numbers associated with them. It looks like someone started to add the addresses into the shipping software, but they were never sent out.

This probably took place when we re-ordered the FLCL Ultimate Edition t-shirts for the n-th time, but we ended up getting Robot in Red t-shirts by mistake (printers confused the two names)… and we had to wait another 3 weeks to get the t-shirts in.

But now that I had that all figured out, I was still shocked with the backlog. Holy cr*p!! Some of you guys sent in your postcards LAST YEAR!

So by now, I’m feeling bad. Really bad.

So I decided to personally send out a bunch of t-shirts today. Yay!

For those of you who filled out your email addresses, you should have received your tracking number in the mail. Then there are others who didn’t include email addresses (for fear of being spammed?), so those folks can click on this post to see if you’re on the list. I’m posting personal information? Bah! I shipped out 100 t-shirts today (so I don’t really care!).

The password is: august2008

Anyway, this is what I shipped out today:
* Sizes: Large & Extra-Large
* Month postcards received: November 2007 (holy cr*p!)

Unfortunately, I am UNABLE to look up each person’s information to see if your t-shirt has shipped. So if you qualify above, please check your email to make sure you got your tracking number. If you didn’t provide an email address, click here to find your name. (psst: password is “august2008″)

If you sent your postcard BEFORE November 2007 and still haven’t received your t-shirt, then please contact us ^_^. Email: pr @ bro-usa.com.

I get a lot of spam on that email address, so please headline it:
FLCL Ult Edition T-shirt: Missing, Please Help! (Aug 2008 update)

Please provide the following with your email:
Your full name
Your mailing address
Size requested

If you don’t remember your size, I’ll try to locate you using the “find” function.

I’ll be working on Small & Medium tomorrow.

We just ran out of the larger sized t-shirts (large & extra-large), so we sent an order to our t-shirt printer to get a bunch more printed.

So if you requested a large or extra large… please be patient.
We should get the t-shirts from our printer in a week or so.

The production @ synch-point.com email address is having trouble.
So I created an email address for those who want to contact us about the status of their FLCL Ultimate Edition t-shirts.

Please email flcltshirt @ bro-usa.com if you haven’t received your t-shirt.
Production staffer Yukiko will get back to you shortly.

Although reading the comments… those who send in the postcards one year ago should have received them. We’re not that backlogged, so email us with your name & address to check if the t-shirt was already sent out, postcard got lost, etc.

We had a FLCL t-shirt design contest a while back.

One of the winners was the one called “Noir” (we called it Scarface during the planning phases).

We had selected another design from the entries.
And we called it Naotamsk.

It took a long time, but we finally got the design approved & we’re going to print soon.

So this is the standard version, in brown:

This brown version will be available in anime stores.

And the black one will be a dot-anime.us exclusive.

We’ll have both products available on dot-anime.us soon.

Well, it’s not October yet.
But we’re only a few days away, so we’ll just call it the October 2007 update.

1. We’re having serious issues w/ the production@synch-point.com email address.
So if you have any questions about the status of your t-shirt delivery, please email pr@bro-usa.com.
I’ll forward them to production assistant Krystal, who’ll get back to you.

2. T-shirt shipments
We are getting through them!
Although very slowly.

So you will get your t-shirts!
Just very slowly.

We’re getting a few production interns next week, so we should be shipping out a bunch of them starting next week.

So sorry for the delay.
Designer Chris suggested having a FLCL Ultimate Edition t-shirt sending party (we call anything “party” when we force our staff to come in on a weekend to work on a task one department is behind on), but we’ve been having other parties… like “warehouse cleaning party”… “warehouse sale party”… “Anime Jungle grand opening party.”

But like I said, we have a few production interns coming in.
So we should get the stack of postcards down soon enough.
