| | | It's the beginning of yet another work-week. Is it just me, or is this year just blasting by us? Fanime is just around the corner, and pretty soon Anime Expo, Otakon, and San Diego Comi-Con will come along. We'll be at all of these conventions, so feel free to drop by and chat with us. If you need to restock after the cons we're always willing to let some of our stuff go, so don't hesitate to ask us about it! The theme this week is "Mechs + Girls." This email features Mecha Girl trading figures as our preorder items! There's also a friendly reminder about deck cases! Lastly, our sale items this week are Macross Transforming Valkyries. | | | | Mecha Girl Trading Figures Coming this June! Some of you may recognize that these trading figures from Konami are by the same artist responsible for the larger scale Mecha Girl figures (Messerschmitt and MiG). In fact, the same MiG girl is featured in Series Two, just with a different pose. All of these figures are based off of well known planes and tanks that were prevalent during the early part of the 20th century. They also just happen to be fused with cute girls in a cyborg-like fashion, kind of like if Robocop were a cute, young girl that was made out of World War II vehicle parts. Closeup images of all figures can be found for Series 1 and Series 2 in the corresponding links. Mecha Girl Trading Figures Series One SRP: $7.95 ea. ($79.50 per box) ITEM CODE: 4988602119268 Description: There are five figure types as well as three alternate color versions. Mecha Girl Trading Figures Series Two SRP: $7.95 ea. ($79.50 per box) ITEM CODE: 4988602127485 Description: There are five figure types as well as two alternate versions, a rare alternate version, and parts to build a special add-on for one of the figures! | | | | Deck Cases Just a friendly reminder to pick up deck cases for your store. If you don't know what a deck case is, well, they're plastic cases made to hold trading cards. But that's not all! They can pretty much hold anything within the size range for trading cards. Some of our staff here use them to hold business cards. Doesn't sound too professional, does it? However, have you seen any of us at the office? It's not like we wear suits every day, unlike the Japan branch. SRP: $4.95 Description: There are all kinds of deck case styles from a large range of Broccoli titles. Ask your wholesale representative for a deck case list!
| | | | | Macross Transforming Valkyries The Valkyrie (or Veritech if you really like Robotech) is one of the most reknown mechs in all of anime. Shoji Kawamori really outdid himself when he designed the triple-changing fighter plane, and it's pretty unbelievable that the overall concept design for later incarnations has remained untouched. Whether it be Macross Plus, Macross 7, or Macross Zero, all Valkyries still have the fighter, battroid, and gerwalk modes. These figures are based off of the original designs, plus they transform! Each transformable figure comes with a bevy of accessories. Pick some up for your customers before they're all gone! SRP: $14.95 ea. Description: Items must be bought as a set of one each (Yellow Skull, Red Skull, Red Vermillion) unless there aren't enough quantities to fulfill a set. In that case any type is feasible. SALE ENDS: June 12th (or while supplies last) | | | Rumiko Takahashi "Urusei Yatsura" Trading Figures Before Ranma 1/2, there was Urusei Yatsura. Urusei Yatsura is one of Rumiko Takahashi's earlier series about a lech with the worst luck in the world named Ataru, who somehow gets engaged to an alien princess named Lum. It's actually my personal favorite among Takahashi's works (next to the Mermaid series), mainly because of its slapstick humor and reckless characters. Pick up these trading figures for your customers who remember that Takahashi did other things besides Inuyasha, which is now all she ever does, unfortunately. SRP: $5.95 ea. Description: Items must be bought as a box of 6 figures. Included in the series are Ataru and Ten, Lum and Ten, Lum (uniform), Mendou, Shinobu, Ran, Sakura, and Cherry (Sakurambo) with Giant Cat. SALE ENDS: June 5th (or while supplies last) | | | | Gundam Seed Key Chains Do you know what the greatest way to make a successful franchise is? It's easy. All you have to do is rip off previous incarnations in the franchise! Gundam's been doing that forever, with its "young-boy-becomes-mecha-pilot and kills-people-in-war" theme. Gundam Seed has even more similarities than before. They even have Haros! Thankfully, at least they have good mech designs, even in SD form. These SD key chains are from the first four parts of the Banpresto Gundam Seed line. Choose two sets from any four parts and you've got your 10! Ask your representative for more details. SRP: $4.95 ea. Description: Items must be bought as a set of 10, which often means two sets of five. Choose from parts 1-4. Part 1: Strike, Aegis, Blitz, Buster, and Duel Gundams. Part 2: Aile Strike, Launcher, Duel (a), Ginn, CGue. Part 3: Sword Strike, Aegis, Astray (Red), Astray (Blue), Haro. Part 4: Freedom, Justice, Calamity, Forbidden, Aile Strike (gray). Part 3 is shown in the image. SALE ENDS: May 29th (or while supplies last) | | | | Nadia Trading Figures Quick. Name everything GAINAX has done off of the top of your head. Yes, Evangelion, FLCL, blah, blah, but did you mention Nadia? It's a terrific series with the charm and heart that rivals any Studio Ghibli film. Now we have these terrific Nadia trading figures on sale for a ridiculous price. SRP: $6.95 ea. ($69.50 per box) Description: Items must be bought as a box of 10 figures. Packaging is blind. SALE ENDS: May 22nd (or while supplies last) | | | | If you need to unsubscribe to the mailing list, then just send me an email reply and I can take you off immediately.
