| | | Fanime is coming! We hope that all of you out there who are going have made your preparations and are all set. I was originally supposed to go to Fanime, but my cousin's baby's Christening is this Sunday, the 28th. I'm going to be a godfather, just like Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, but without all of the killing and oranges in the mouth. Ok, maybe I'll stick an orange in my mouth like Brando when the kid is old enough to appreciate it, but I'm not going to collapse in a garden. The theme this week is "Let's Wear Dresses." Coming this October! The last batch of Negima trading figures went fast, but luckily there's a new set arriving. What? You didn't know about the last batch of Negima trading figures? Have you been reading Melissa's emails? Make sure to check her emails often since the Weekly is mainly an item spotlight. I'm sure you're all saying, "That's all fine and dandy Chris, but what about Negima?" Well, I'm sure most of you have heard of this manga series that's released in the US by Del Rey, with a soon-to-be-released-anime by FUNimation, so I wouldn't want to fill you in with all the details. All I know about Negima is that it's Love Hina combined with Harry Potter, it sells well, and by the looks of the image and the types of figures available, there's tons of girls.

We just realized something funny: we never sold these One Piece Kimono key chains to our customers the whole time we've had them! So here they are in all of their kimono glory. Items are sold in a set of five: Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Chopper, and Nico. Do I really need to explain One Piece? Well, here goes. There's this guy name Luffy who wants to be King of Pirates by finding the secret treasure of Gold Roger: One Piece. Like most Shonen Jump manga series he makes a lot of friends along the way and there's a lot of fighting and action. Yay for friends and fighting! It sounds like the story of my imaginary life.

- SOLD OUT I admit that I had a crush on Chun Li when I was a kid playing Street Fighter II in the arcades. Maybe it was her beautiful pixellated looks complete with hair buns, or the fact she can kick ass and do the splits. Now those memories are flooding back as I take a look at these two deluxe size figures of Capcom's favorite heroine, made to celebrate Street Fighter's 15th anniversary. There are two types of figures: one with Chun Li in a black dress and one with her in a shorter pink dress. Both figures are about 7" tall and sit on block-like bases. SRP: $19.95 ea.
