Broccoli Books Acquires E'S

Los Angeles, CA (July 26, 2006) - Broccoli Books the publisher that brought you Juvenile Orion, KAMUI, and the Galaxy Angel series, announced the acquisition of  E'S at Comic Con International.

E'S (pronounced like the letter "s"), by manga artist Satol Yuiga, is one of the most popular manga running in Japan today.

Kai Kudou is part of an elite organization of psychics known as Ashurum. Kai is sent on a mission to take custody of other unregistered illegal psychics in the city of Gald. However, he strays from his companions and is taken in by Yuuki Tokugawa, an odd-job-man who is currently working for the guerillas that are in opposition to Ashurum. As Kai spends more time with Yuuki and his mysterious sister Asuka, Kai starts to wonder what Ashurum's purpose is - are they trying to protect the psychics or control them?

E'S is currently running in monthly magazine G Fantasy published by SQUARE ENIX, and have spawned off an anime series, art books, novels, and a CD drama. Broccoli Books publisher Kaname Tezuka stated, "We are very happy to be working with SQUARE ENIX again to bring you another great manga series. E'S is a very mature series, but I believe the audience who grew up with Juvenile Orion and are currently reading KAMUI will have no problem transitioning to E'S." Managing Editor Shizuki Yamashita is also very excited about E'S. "I have been a fan of E'S for a long time and am delighted to finally be able to share it with the United States," she said. "E'S is visually stunning and has a very strong storyline; I'm sure everyone who picks it up will not be disappointed."

The first volume of E'S is scheduled to be released in January 2007. There are currently 13 volumes available in Japan.
