UART Partners with Broccoli International for North American Distribution and Promotion Los Angeles, CA (July 18, 2006) – UART, an emerging Hong Kong-based collectible figure company, announced its partnership with Broccoli International for North American distribution and promotion. Founded by Kiyotaka Hirai, former executive vice president of Yamato Hong Kong, UART was established in 2005 to develop figures with both the Japanese and overseas market in mind. UART plans the development, production and promotion schedule to decrease the release lag of collectible figures worldwide. UART has produced figures for titles such as To Heart 2, Zero-Shiki, BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo, and Hellsing. Limited edition pre-production resin statues and original character figures will be on sale at the UART/Broccoli booth, and Ikki Tousen manga author Yuji Shiozaki will be signing autographs throughout the weekend.
