Shakugan no Shana is a series of Japanese light novels and related media works written by Japanese novelist Yashichiro Takahashi and illustrated by Noizi Ito. The story is about an ordinary Japanese High School boy named Yuji Sakai that gets involved in a perpetual war between forces of balance and imbalance in existence. The series incorporates science fiction and fantasy. The anime adaptation of the series is incredibly popular.
